Though Switch Hits stocks over 200,000 switchplates ready to ship, we do carry switchplates are made to order. Since some switch plate lines offer hundreds, even thousands of different pattern and color combinations, we make these items to order. This is not to be confused with a custom order where you can order anything you want…that we do not do. Our made-to-order items come in predetermed designs, colors and configuations that may not be altered.
When Will Made-to-Order Items Ship?
All shipping time frames are listed at each item under the "Shipping" tab. Made-to-Order items can not be rushed by simply choosing an expedited shipping method. Some artists make and ship made-to-order items within 1 week while other artist's process takes up to 8 weeks...some switchplates are mad or finished in batches and others are handmade, one at a time.
Made-to-Order items generally come from small studios where the artists much prefer working their craft rather then answering shipping questions. Hence, we're sorry, but we can not be specific and answer subsequent emails about shipping dates with made-to-order items if they are within the published time frame.
Made-to-Order Return Policy
Because of the thousands of variables and the difficulty of reselling particular designs in particular colors, we had to establish a special made to order return policy.
Based on the craftsmen we work with, some items are NOT RETURNABLE and marked as such on each particular product page. All other Made-to-Order items returned will have the following restrictions:
A maximum of 2 items of any configuration may be returned with no restocking charge. For larger orders, the two smallest configurations will have no restocking charges...all other returned items will have the following restocking charges less shipping charges.

These Made-to-Order switchplates are so unique and attractive
we know you deserve and will like them. Just use
a bit of caution when you first order -- order one or two
of the style and colors you like. When you receive your first
shipment and absolutely love them, you can then order for
the rest of your home without any trepidation.
