Medium: Hot forged solid brass switchplates with satin nickel finish.
Screws: Coordinating 6-32 x 1/2" screws provided by manufacturer are included.
Cleaning: Clean switch plate covers with mild soap and warm water. Do Not use abrasives.
Don't be fooled by our competitors' inexpensive zinc switchplates which are probably manufactured in China. They may look the same as far as the design is concerned, but that is where the similarity ends. It is common knowledge in manufacturing circles that Forged Brass like Switch Hits offers makes for a better quality item over lighter weight cast zinc as is commonly found in the big box stores.
Switch Hits has the opportunity to offer less expensive zinc switchplates but refuses to do so...the quality just isn't there. Our Modular Data Jacks feature the Allen Tel Versatap system designed for maximum performance, reliability, flexibility, and ease of installation. Simply choose the Modular Plate (below right) with the number of ports needed, followed by your selection of any combination of snap-in jacks:

Coax - Television Cable/Satellite
The Cat 3 and Cat 5 jacks require assembly; instructions included. Each of the jacks is marked where you simply insert the corresponding colored wires into the jack and snap the entire unit into the modular plate...it's that easy. More information at
